"Elephant Research" Side Mission

The helicopter flew over the elephant homeland.

"To take one down, you'll have to get at least two good blasts on its underside. They don't want us using the cannon cause it could mess up the body."

They flew over the plain, and could see a male grazing and female drinking from a pool not to far away.

"The choice of action is yours. This is the most open area for miles, so if you scare them off bad they'll run into the forest and I won't be able to offer assistance."

OK lets have you land a quarter mile away and ill try to get up behind them to place the GPS and kill the male. While i head towards them you can fly back into the sky and stay a good distance away to help if needed but not to spook them.

"Sounds good."

Aaron set them down in the corner of the plain, and left the engine running. The male was a quarter of a mile of, eating grass, but facing them. The female was not.

i got off the helicopter and headed to the right along the edge of the clearing hoping that the Elephant would keep his gaze on the helicopter and not me so that i could sneak up on him. " Aaron try to keep the beats attention so i can get behind it" i said over the mic.

Aaron complied, and started fluctuating the engines power to draw the elephant's attention. Sam was now 200 feet from the male.

Seeing that the male was distracted thanks to Aaron. I walked up closer to the beast from behind and to the left hoping to get within 10 feet.

Samuel came up behind the elephant unnoticed, but he had to be careful: it was on edge from the helicopter.

I pulled out my shot gun and aimed at the elephants chest getting ready to reload the lever as fast as possible knowing that i needed to shoot it a least two times in the chest. I pulled the trigger using the kick backs energy to reload and shot again and again for a total of tree shots aimed at the thin skin of the beasts chest.

The first shot hit, and the animal bucked. Sam shot again, but wasn't completely able to compensate for its wild movements. He dodged the buck and was able to get off another wild shot, that hit its protected side.
